"With deep roots and a restless soul"

Our Purpose
Cantabria Quesera was founded as an association in 2022 by artisanal cheese producers with the aim of protecting a craft, strengthening the territory, and supporting the producers who keep the region’s cheese-making tradition alive.
We work together to highlight the quality and diversity of our cheeses, reinforce the rural fabric, and bring this gastronomic heritage to the world by connecting producers, retailers, travelers, and cheese lovers.
What Makes Cantabrian Cheese Special
-
Authentic origin: family-run farms, privileged natural environments, and know-how passed down from generation to generation.
True diversity: cheeses made from cow’s, sheep’s, or goat’s milk, in fresh, aged, smoked, blue styles, or produced with raw milk, showcasing the full richness of the territory.
Recognized quality: a wide range of high-quality artisanal cheeses, including three varieties protected by a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO): Cantabrian Cream Cheese (Queso Nata de Cantabria), Quesuco de Liébana, and Picón Bejes-Tresviso.
Sense of place: each cheese reflects the unique characteristics of the valley, mountains, or region where it is made.
