Discover more about us

We are Andrés and Luis Pérez Portilla, and the story of Granja Quesería El Pendo began in 2018, but since childhood we have had a very special and close connection to livestock farming as a family.
We opted for Jersey cattle because their milk is the closest we could find to sheep’s milk, which is how we started, allowing us to take advantage of all the knowledge acquired over so many years in the production of our cheeses.
Our cattle farm is located in Cacicedo de Camargo, and our sheep farm and cheese factory are located in Escobedo de Camargo.

El Pendo Cheese Farm

Bria

It’s a soft, raw Jersey cow’s milk cheese with a naturally moldy rind where the mold is much more visible than on other types of cheese. Its flavor has fresh, lactic, and damp forest notes, and it melts in the mouth and at room temperature, making it ideal for eating straight or for cooking.

El Pendo Cheese Farm

See You Soon

A semi-cooked, pressed-curd cheese made with raw cow’s milk from our own herd. Aged on natural wood boards, it has a natural rind developed with molds we cultivate ourselves. Its distinctive yellow color comes from the Jersey cow’s milk, and its aroma is sweet with notes of nuts and floral hints. It’s an easy-to-eat cheese that keeps very well.
